Every year before the season schedules are announced for my NFC Packers and AFC Raiders, I hope for the perfect BYE Week position. You know. A BYE In week 8 or 9. The half way point is about perfect for an opportunity to heal some injuries and start the second half of the season off at full throttle.

Every good team needs a well placed loss in the same way they need a well placed Bye Week.

A well placed loss is as important as a well placed bye week.

A bye week will allow your team to heal some body injuries, and give them a two week rest.

A well placed loss during the season will allow your team to heal some mental injuries, like being too smug or have an uncritical satisfaction about being undefeated.... Thus... they re-focus on the basics.

6-1 is better for The Packers than 7-0

It is a check up from the neck up.

I was talking with a Bronco fan during the game.

I was told that The Bronco fans were questioning Peyton Mannings ability to throw the ball.
She said the defense had been carrying the team but the quality of their opponents so far was not the best.

Now I'm reading the other threads and it seems these same questions are being asked about The Packers.

The Broncos silenced their fan base with probably rheir absolutes best and most complete performance in a long time.

Somebody tell me what team would have won in Denver on that particular night?

The Broncos are now being called the absolute best team in The NFL, if that is so, then The Packers now know they have some work to do.

Being The Best after week 7 means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Time to move on.

Btw, Vikes are .5 behind us.

Nobody plays perfect football. The SB Champs were dealing with questions of whether Tom Brady should be benched 14 months ago after KC kicked the shit out of them. The first post in this thread discusses how the offense of what is no regarded as the best team in football was underwhelming for 6 straight games.

The Packers looked like complete dog shit for 60 min Sunday, I know, but expecting perfection from 46 players for 60 minutes each game just isn't going to happen. The other team is paid too.

In the same way I don't see Philip Rivers throwing for 500 yards in every game...
