Passing the ball 5 yards slant between 3 defenders is more difficult than a 30 yard pass to a wide open WR. Agreed.

Talking like the distance a pass travels makes it more or less difficult is ignorance. Hitting a 5 yard slant between 3 defenders is much more difficult than throwing a 30 yards pass to a wide open WR.
