I thought Davante had a pretty good game. He's one of the guys I'd like to see step up and show that he can be a player.

Richard Rodgers is another one, and he did ok. I still think he's playing a little bit tight.

Starks had great vision and seemed to make all the right cuts. He looked amazing on those screens, too.

And what about Ripkowski? That was a pretty good play. Looks like he's got some skills. The other poster is right, maybe he could play some TE.

And one more thing: Cobb was able to get DEEP. Yeah, Aaron overthrew him on the route, but Cobb was able to get a step on the defender. It's been a big deal lately.

Hopefully Rodgers throws the ball where he can make a play in the future.

Yeah, that's a truly 50/50 ball, at best. Could and probably should have just as easily been intercepted.

So we can get a player deep, and the ball deep... just not the same place deep....

Come on Packers... you need to fix that!




I think it would be interesting to see if a Packers 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 RB, 1 FB set might get a defensive run package on the field... and then flank the TE and FB to the outside... with the WRs in the slot (or one WR in the slot and the other outside).

Off the top of my head, I don't remember that being done with two TEs, or two FB or any combo of the two... and style have a RB in the backfield. Of course it would be limited and just a gimmick and not a true fix... but some gimmicks can get momentum started and can lead to other good things.
