Yes, the O Line is a unit - even though you go on to talk about the "inner 3" hahaha. At times in the past few years, that unit has been shitty - in the sense that Aaron Rodgers has to scramble and throw from outside the pocket (or where a pocket should be) on virtually every pass play and in the sense that way too often, our RBs don't have a hole to run through. This season, they have been a little bit better run blocking and no worse pass blocking. Just the same, though, if Aaron Rodgers wasn't so damn good at escaping and making plays, our O Line would be exposed as far from what you'd expect with a top level team. Is that criticizing the players? I don't know; The coaching? maybe some; The GM who built the team and gave us Aaron Rodgers? That's a taboo subject hahahaha. But the play of the O Line, it is what it is - probably good enough to win it all with Aaron Rodgers at QB.
The topic of this thread is Janis, though. Yeah, I don't doubt he will benefit from single coverage - MORE than any of the alternative WRs we could put on the field. He will also benefit from having the best QB in the history of the NFL throwing to him, but then you can say the same for any Packer receiver. I don't know about you detractors of Janis, but I'd rather see the ball in his hands after catching it 20 yards down field than somebody slower - even if that somebody didn't have a leg injury.
And I almost forgot the other point I was gonna make: Aaron Rodgers eats blitzes for lunch. Seattle was smart not to blitz. If KC chooses to blitz, bring it on!
