I never said Shields was a lousy player. He was last week though.
Was it mental? Was it a physical thing? A combo of both?
I don't know. I'm hoping of course that it was a one game mirage.
I guess ONLY time will tell.

Too many simpletons and conformists in this forum, but that's okay, we have lots of division championships to celebrate. Thanks Uncle Ted for keeping us competitive, and never going all in! 🙄

The Packers just need a defense, and Ted Thompson, Mike McCarthy, and especially Dom Capers have failed in that regard. If they don't turn things around this season, changes need to be made. Although I've wanted Dom Capers gone for years now. He's a average-to-decent coordinator, but nothing more. His defense consistently reflects his personality: mellow, dull, and emotionless. The Packers need to take a risk and find a better defensive coach.

My point in all these receiver conversations is why the hell can't our GM go get us an elite receiver to make Rodger's job easier? A team with a stacked secondary can make Rodgers look average because we don't have that absolute difference maker. It's a piece to the puzzle we should already have in place. Very frustrating to keep watching the same complacency.

I only begin to think of what this offense would be if Finley were still active. I know there are a ton of Finley haters out there but he opened this offense up because he was THOUGHT of to be a threat and sometimes was. I do applaud the strides DickRod has been making but he will never be close to being the threat Jermichael was.
