Two things happen in football when you play not to get hurt:
1. You suck
2. you get hurt

Okay Jordy's gone, boohoo, quit your b!tchin' and inveterate whining and suck it up and play like men. Every one plays 4 PS games and some play 5. If not playing 1-2 effing quarter in a PS game is gonna make this team healthier; then we got NO CHANCE of staying healthy through 64 quarters of real playing.

MM quit calling plays so as not to be distracted from managing general trends. His game plan for a fast start was to work out kinks in PS and that plan changed when Jordy got hurt. Then Cobb gets hurt and pull Adams, WTF. What a reactionary wussy way of coaching "this football team." Well Mikey I love ya, but the entire team got your message. He better see this as the wake-up call; or it will come around week 3 when we're 1-2 or 0-3. I can see it now; week 1 Sitton's toe flares up; the entire OL is then pulled in favor of 3 backups and Kuhn and Rip playing tackle. I mean WTF.

Oh and nice message sent to the back-up OL: "ya we trust ya...oh but we dont want AR to get hurt if you play, so he's not playing." WT flyin' F.

AR might be a little to dainty, opinionated and cerebral to step up on this one, plus he's one of the little b!tch whiners. If Daniels is worth 10M as he thinks; he'll be calling out anyone [even a coach] doin' his job like a little debutante.

One play 2nd and 3 at 13:43 1st Q; Packers in 2-4-5. Seen this Capers play 1000 times. He slants 2 DT left, the safety crashes the right C gap; the ROLB controls the Tackle and is 2 gapping [the Right B and C gap], the Right ILB [CM3] fills the right B gap if Rb is able to cut back, which any good back will do. These RBs practice this.

Murry ran through the B gap as Barrington was blocked by G on 2nd level and CM3 just stood there watching the play like any fan that bought a ticket.

Note: This is not a reaction to the game; alot of good things happened, once the wussiness went to the bench or grew a pair.

I don't think much is gained by playing Rodgers behind the back up line vs a starting defense and the risk was significant. These aren't games they are practice vs another team. I didn't think they should have played Cobb and Lacy either. It's one thing if the team is healthy right now let them out and get some snaps but without Jordy we can't afford to lose players like Cobb and Lacy for the sake of giving them extra practice snaps that really don't matter. This team didn't gain anything by having Cobb lay out for a pass from Hundley even if he didn't get hurt or by having Lacy get tackled a few times. If this team starts 1-2 the fact that some key players sat the 3rd preseason game will be a hell of a long ways down the list of reasons why.

I say leave preseason games for the guys trying to make the team or starters who are fighting for and have competition for their spot. Rodgers and co aren't really gaining anything facing the Eagles starters that they don't get at practice.

There is a reason most starting units play most of the third preseason game.

Anybody can lay out for a pass. But it takes practice repetitions, to get good at that.

The sport is based on speed and power, combined with colissions. People will get hurt. It sucks. However, it's what this sport is.

Jugs machines and film study only do so much for you. You just can't simulate game situations and collisions with non contact practices all year.

I agree with Steveishere.
Ok...let's say AR played in the meaningless game yesterday, and gets injured.
How many of the guys here that are calling him a wuss would be screaming "WHY WAS HE IN THERE???"
Yeah....let's put our MVPS QB out there in a game that doesn't count.
Lose him and you can kiss any realistic hope of a super bowl possibility GOODBYE.

dfosterf (26-Jun) : Fair enough, WPR. Thing is, I have been a long time advocate to at least have some inkling of the dynamics within the board.
wpr (26-Jun) : 1st world owners/stockholders problems dfosterf.
Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason

dfosterf (18-Jun) : Beats the hell out of a Vikings signing
Zero2Cool (18-Jun) : Baltimore Ravens now have signed former Packers CB Jaire Alexander.
dfosterf (14-Jun) : TWO magnificent strikes for touchdowns. Lose the pennstate semigeezer non nfl backup
dfosterf (14-Jun) : There was minicamp Thursday. My man Taylor Engersma threw

Mucky Tundra (10-Jun) : Well he can always ask his brother for pointers
Zero2Cool (10-Jun) : Bo Melton taking some reps at CB as well as WR
Zero2Cool (10-Jun) : key transactions coming today at 3pm that will consume more cap in 2025
Zero2Cool (9-Jun) : Jaire played in just 34 of a possible 68 games since the start of the 2021 season

Zero2Cool (9-Jun) : Jenkins has REPORTED for mandatory camp
Zero2Cool (9-Jun) : I really thought he'd play for Packers.
buckeyepackfan (9-Jun) : Packers releasing Jaire Alexander.
