The OL has not been stellar, but they have been at least average. I don’t get the TOs/Delay of game penalties: every quick tempo team has a “fire word” for ball to be snapped. Is AR not saying it? Is Linsley forgetting the word or ignoring it? That TO on last drive was pure bush league and it killed any hope, if we didn’t get TD and 2 point. And there’s too many free runs at AR caused by miscommunication or bad line calls. Even Kuhn’s whiff was 70% mental, because he was in wrong position forcing him to dive at the blitzer. But this only accounts for a few plays.

The real problem is AR. DCs stopped blitizing AR: he’d see the blitz and hit the hot read. But, recently he has lost his ability to pick-up on the blitz and/or complete a hot read and DCs are blitzing 3x as much, now that they’ve picked up AR’s 2013-Crosby-like insanity; AR’s Steve Sax Syndrome.

After 2 runs, 3rd play of game, 3rd and 9, Car rushed 6. It was picked up brilliantly by OL, Adams was hot on right and open with a little arrow out route covered man by Harper at 4-5yrds. Cobb ran an in from left over the middle and had a step on Benwicke. Read 1: Cobb is open, AR cocks arm to hit Cobb at marker for first and no one is near AR. Read 2: Adams breaking outside on arrow, if AR decides he don’t like throw to Cobb and hits Adams in stride, Adams turns corner and only a great OF tackle by Harper stops first. Jones and RR went deep, so if a tackle is broken, Cobb or Adams go for 20-25 yards. But AR does neither, he pulls the ball down and starts looking for a gap to run; he spirals around 2-3 times in pocket looking for a nonexistent gap and gets swallowed.

This is 10 guys executing their assignments PERFECTLY; and 1 playing like absolute crap...and I mean below TJ Rubely crap. AR Shell-shocked? WTF, it was the first pass play!!!!! He hadn’t been touched that day by anyone other than Olivia. OL playing not great, okay fair; but not on this play! 6 man rush, no max protect, 4 men ran routes and AR had the time to go through his 2 reads and do 2-3 hokie-pokie dances before he got hit. This has a snowball effect, an OL gets demoralized when they play so freakin’ great and it result is a QB that won’t throw the ball and takes a sack.

TV Announcers say the first thing that pops into their mind, there’s no analysis or thought behind their off-the–cuff stupidity and would be jailed if held accountable for it. Beat writers don’t sell truth they sell add-space; if you’re selling add-space you don’t criticize Favre or AR; unless it’s the popular thing to do. So I have a very special name for those that buy media drivel without checking it out: “The Fan.”

Now imagine; a guy that works beside you talks to the bosses AND MEDIA all the time about how you can't be trusted with your work. Would this not torque you off, even if the guy was 100% efficient at everything he did? But how would you then feel if this perfect tool is criticizing you was a complete fu^#-up in his own right? AR’s play combined with his arrogant “leadership” has the potential to rip a lockerroom apart.
