How would we have any form of "leverage"? If we start calling around about needing a WR is some other GM not going to think Nelson is done? There's no way we even make a call unless Jordy is significantly injured to where he's at least IR'ed and miss 10 games.

Now if it's Ted Thompson that makes the call, and obviously everyone knows Jordy's hurt, missing a chunk of the season [IR-D Return or just sitting on the roster] and IR-DONE, places GB on 2 distinct levels of desperation [which is also a relative term], which creates 2 distinct leverage points for negotiations. And the former provides more leverage than the later.

1265 owes no duty of explanation of the subject injury ever to fans. However they must identify whether he is Out, Probable, Questionable, etc for Games 1, 2 ... and/or 19.

Really, they don't owe us any information even then - not anytime.

Yeah, they do. There are disclosure rules in the NFL, which were specifically designed to prevent illegal gambling. When teams lie about injuries, it breaks these rules and give mafia people who have inside knowledge an edge in gambling.

Teams are required to disclose accurate information regarding injuries.
