That isn't really a defensive stat. Id expect they were also really high on points scored not after takeaways as well because the offense as a whole was pretty efficient.

Yeah we scored double the points on about 23% more turnovers. We probably had more returns for scores (that would actually be a defensive stat, though not a super meaningful one). But as you say a good chunk of that is the offense being better in 2014 than 2013.
