So people are mad because we don't have a stud receiver as our #3,4 or 5 am I reading that right? I like the fact that if we need to we can use our #3 in mismatches as we did against the Pats last year. But yes I know what you mean heaven forbid that we don't have a $10 million a year #3 receiver. I would love to have the tall speed burner like it seems the Vikes are loaded with, but they haven't proved they can catch the ball.

But ya go ahead and keep bitching because we don't have a $10 million 3rd wr and a $7 million #4 receiver.

Just remember alot of teams would love to have the players we have at wide receiver.

Yes, I want a 10 million WR at 3 and 4. I want to see them either take over for Jordy who'll be done in 3 years, or not signed because they're too costly. That is exactly what I want.

Since you don't pay your 3 higher than your 2 or 1, that means they both are making more than $10 million. I'll be generous on the increases.

1: $11 million
2: $10.5 million
3: $10 million
4: $10 million

That's $41.5 million just on the WR position and we have to toss in the QB which is $18.25.

That's using up $59.75 million of $143.28 million cap for 5 of the 53 man roster or roughly 42% of your cash. I reckon that would be 2011 all over again, lol

Yikes to the yikitity yowsers.

We all want this to be like the 2011 group with 4 we know can be damn good, and only through hindsight we know how deep they were with Cobb too. We can't know 2015 will be there yet, so I understand the unease. We're still in TC, though. Stop worrying so much...or if you're going to, worry about the LBs or some position where we knew going into camp could be thin.

Yes, but since Janis is the best ever seen at the position and he is a cheap free agent, we are set!!!! He's cheap, irreplaceable and ours!

Until Sept, when he's cut for failing to prove even an average talent...

Just to reset... Jeff Janis has RARE measurables. Julio Jones rare. That is all I've said about him since the beginning. Plus, the play in St. Louis was unlike ANYTHING I'd seen from a Packers WR in forever, if ever. Davante was calling him V12... he FLIES and this offense needs the overall element of speed and Janis can provide it. He's tough as nails and runs like a deer. How could I not hope and want this kid to be special? Never said he was as a football player.

Some of us would just like to see a little more from our 3,4,5,6 guys before we anoint them as the best in the league. We have two top flight receivers at 1,2. At #3 we have a second year guy who had a decent rookie year but not spectacular (partly due to the guys at #1 and #2) after that we have a gaggle of guys who have a grand total of what? 12 receptions in the league (9 for white in 2013 and 3 for Janis last year) Excuse me if I don't consider anything behind Nelson and Cobb as a proven entity.

I'm guessing a lot of teams would love to have our #1 and #2 guys but after that? I'm sure most teams have guys with lots of potential.

I'll just be interested to see if Janis can make himself a permanent fixture on special teams. That's my primary focus for him at the moment.

Not mad about the offense save for TE position.

Don't ask about the D. 🙂

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
