During Saturday’s practice, the 6-foot-1, 246-pound fullback took a step backward.

Backward as in being pushed back into the quarterback by linebacker Joe Thomas while pass blocking. Backward as in getting stuffed by linebacker Julius Peppers 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage on a run play.

This is inconvenient news since im pulling for Rup to make the team. Maybe it just means Thomas is a beast.
