White had his share of plays, including a fourth-down grab that kept a drive alive. Still, he has only three catches for 23 yards in two preseason games. Jeff Janis, his primary competition for the fifth-receiver spot before Nelson's injury, had three catches for 25 yards on Sunday alone. Janis also had 31 yards and a touchdown in New England.

Snippet on Gunter:

Undrafted rookie cornerback LaDarius Gunter continues to impress. Gunter, who played college football in Miami, preventing a possible touchdown in one-on-one coverage against former Clemson receiver and ACC foe Martavis Bryant. After having the team's lone interception against the Patriots, Gunter had three of the Packers' four defended passes Sunday.

Thumbs up to Gunter. Thumbs down to Offensive Line.

In a hurry Gunter can be the 2nd best CB on the team right now.

White and Janis are in a particular dance, they make some good things and some terrible things, white had two silly penalties on the same play, Janis let the ball slip through both hands and had a nice pass bumped against his chest. The funny thing is that now we might just have to keep them both.

Gunter made a play against a big tall fast WR in Bryant. Heck, Martavis is really fast...a full .27 faster ...that's almost 3/10th's of a second. If he can make plays against a guy with that speed and height he can play. Almost sold...need to see him a few more times but very encouraged by him.

So, who is going to start opposite Sam Shields on opening day... Hayward, Randall or Gunter...won't be Rollins...he took a step back today.

Unless Gunter suffers a complete collapse over the next two weeks, I think he has punched his ticket for the 53.

We have a lot of options at DBs. Encouraged by the first and second teamers there overall. Unfortunately the o-line was so poor, it was real tough to evaluate WRs, but I like Janis and Pink to make it at this point, but we'll most certainly carry 6 WRs now. Before Nelson went down, I wasn't so sure.

A little age discrimination is to blame... both Harris and Woody were old men together out there. Thinking young guys, it has to be Newsome and Evans but you are right.
