UDFA WR Larry Pinkard, Old Dominion

This is the guy Taylor Heinicke (Vikings priority UDFA QB - $20k signing bonus) was throwing to for his first 3 years. Kicked off the team in 2014 for undisclosed rules violations.

It sounds like he is talented enough to be an NFL receiver, I don't know if he is talented enough to crack this lineup or smart enough to keep his nose clean in the NFL.

Sounds like a Koren Robinson type gambit.

He's got the skills to have gone much higher, but we get him, because he's a head case. Get his head turned around, and it's a potential Ted Thompson special. Didn't work with Colt Lyerla, but it did with Charles Woodson. This guy gets his shot, hope he pans out.

I feel like the Packers are loaded at WRs with good draft picks that the UDFA stand little to no chance of making the roster unless injuries happen.

Cool story. Packers UDFA attraction brings another one in. He could have gone to Minnesota where his QB landed.

At one point during Bluefield’s season, Green Bay scout Lee Gissendaner dropped by practice. According to Walker, the Packers and Redskins were the only teams that sent a scout.

Other than Dantzler, there's no other UDFA I'm more excited about. Guy just seems to have a feel for the position. Very natural with it in his hands.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."
