Signing him for the rest of the season wouldn't be so bad if you think about it. At least there will be a veteran presence as our back of B JACK. I mean we had Ahman Green last year and I think we should invest in Larry Johnson this year since we do have a better O LINE then last year. Worth it if you ask me.

Why not see if Jim Taylor will unretire while we're at it.

Johnson hasn't played a full season since 2006. Do we really want a guy who has lost not just one, but two or three steps and will probably give us four or five games before getting injured again?

I'm starting to sound like a broken record saying this but I'll say it again. Don't get attached to RBs. Their football life expectancies are nasty, brutish, and SHORT. I'd be surprised to see him in any NFL uniform (not including the Raiders) in 2011.
