The coaches really determine the teams mentality. For example, compare Belicheck and McCarthy. One coach has a team with no mercy, who you never see anyone come back from behind against. The other takes his foot off the gas every time, and pays for it. I'd rather have the coach who keeps his foot on the throttle no matter what the score.

In 2012, up 13-7 at half against a WC Balt. and folded like a cheap suit ended up losing in a blowout.
In 2011 up 17-9 in middle of 3rd and lose to Giants; Belicheck mismanaged TOs on Giants go ahead drive and the clock on final drive.
In 2010, got hammered by WC Jets and Sanchez; Jets in control the whole way
In 2009 got blown out by WC Baltimore 24-0 in 1st Q
In 2007, 18-0 for season and choked in 4th Q against Giants
In 2006, up 21-3 and choked big time against Indy
In 2005, blown out by Jake Plumber and Broncos
