Obviously you attempt to sign Julius Peppers. Same with Albert Haynesworth and money talks. Pay them and they'd sign here.
Julius Peppers is getting awful advice if the report of a 3-4 preference is true. He can go and try the 3-4, but he's not built like a 3-4 outside linebacker. Peppers is pushing about 285 pounds. That's a DE in the 3-4 and even then I don't think he's as effective.
Jason Taylor was 260 to 270 tops and quicker on his feet. Plus Nick Saban basically ran a hybrid defense. Even Aaron Kampman is about 270 and he can't play in the 3-4 at least on paper.
Basically I'm hoping the report is bogus or his agent doesn't know what he's talking about. I think once scouts talk to Peppers and his agent, he'll come to his senses.
I could do without Jonathan Vilma because I really don't' think he's the same player he once was and your going to cut Nick Barnett or A.J. Hawk now? That's what it takes. It just seems a little bit much in my opinion and Vilma is not a 3-4 linebacker. That's why the Jets got rid of him in the first place so if Green Bay goes in that direction they're stuck with a bunch of backers who don't' fit the system.
