Our first round pick will be at a position of strength, amidst much wailing and gnashing of teeth by the Packer faithful.

A pick I feel confident will be vindicated in a season or two.

We will (gulp) draft a punter.

"Since69" wrote:

I just don't see this happening. We have two punters on the roster already (one on the practice squad). I do remember watching one punter (can't remember his name) booting it consistently over 55 yards in the bowls, including one 68-yard punt, but I don't know if he's entering the draft.

Cliffy will be released and Tauscher will leave during free agency. Our Week 1 offensive line will be Colledge, Sitton, Spitz, Barbe and Giacomini.

"Since69" wrote:

Interesting. You don't think we'll draft any starting-caliber offensive linemen?

6 ) Mike McCarthy will open the offense up a little, and Aaron Rodgers will finish in the top 5 in most categories.

"Since69" wrote:

I think Rodgers will finish in the top 5 whether or not McCarthy opens up the offense. I don't see Brees repeating his 5000-yard performance, and it's looking like Brady won't be on the field when Week 1 rolls around.

James Jones will emerge as one of the best #3 receivers in the league.

"Since69" wrote:

This remains to be seen. I'm leery of the stability of his knee, which he refused to have surgically repaired this season. A torn PCL affects the stability of the knee, and recovery can take over 12 months, even when you don't attempt to play on it, as Jones did several times this season. I think he has the potential, certainly, provided his knee holds up.

Someone will make Ted Thompson an offer he can't refuse, and Al Harris will be traded.

I think you're right, but I'm guessing it will be a late trade, possibly some time during training camp, after a key player (on the other team) has gone down with injury.

That reminds me of one of the fantasy football drafts I participated in last fall. This one woman spent the entire two hours or so bashing men. Talking about how men are only good for one thing (alimony), and on and on. It was sickening.

So how did this misanthrope demonstrate her superior intelligence? By drafting an entire team of nothing but tight ends! I am not making this up. The rest of us in the draft sat around laughing helplessly for hours afterward. We couldn't believe anyone could be such an idiot.

She swore that the reason she had lost her league last year was due to TE injuries, so by drafting a TE at every slot, she couldn't possibly lose this year. Of course, she neglected to realize that she'd only be able to play one (1) player per week.

We figured she just liked tight butts.

That would be pretty damn great. Clone Moorman and put him in every position. He seems to be quite an athlete aswell.

I don't have any bold predictions, just wishfull thinking.

KGB will come back for a try-out, will pass it, will get a minimum players loan, gets 3 sacks in one game and gets back into his old form and spot.

I often sit by my computer and wait for a "Since69" response.

It is like a well tied fly on a glass like lake. All of the fish at least take a look, and most bite.
