He and Favre has the same legacy, losing the big game.

Saw where he now has 9 one and dones in the playoffs. Most since the 60s? Also, good thing the Broncos went big in FA this offseason. Did wonders for them

Peyton's arm strength is fading. He was not very accurate today. To me it was a big mistake going to Denver. A dome of southern team to me made more sense. Reading posts on NFL.com it appears many of the Broncos fans think he should move on. It could be the heat of the moment, but it is hard to pay $20M for somebody who may not be able to give you their best when you need it most.

Luck should be given credit as well. He made a lot of key plays to keep drives alive. His play in the pocked is quite amazing at times.

I agree with Kantilla.
I really don't think its Manning choking, I think he's done.
He doesn't have "it" anymore.
The years finally caught up to him, as it does most players.

If you've watched any football games, you can see he isn't choking, but rather skills have diminished. It's so obvious even Stevie Wonder sees it.

I hope he retires, but these guys always stay a year(s) too long.

Based on this, maybe he's realizing his skills have gone the way of doo-doo and it's time to start a broadcasting career.

Jim Nantz of CBS said during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s broadcast that Manning explained during their pregame production meeting that it’s no longer a sure thing.

“He actually told us that ‘I’m gonna wait and see, I can’t really in my heart tell you anything for sure right now,” Nantz said. “My intention is to play, but things have changed since I last said that.'”

Quite interesting ...

Been a Broncos fan 45 years. Time for a new coach, new QB, and a new era. So much for the Manning idea. We throw Tebow under the bus after going 1-1 in playoffs and what do we get? Manning 2-3 in playoffs, including 2 one and dones.

Aqib Talib had a lot more to do with that loss than Peyton Manning did. While his accuracy was off and I think it's time for him to retire, Talib looked lost all day trying to cover Hilton, and it led to a lot of big plays for the Colts.

Also, much credit to the Colts D for outstanding tackling and great coverage on all the pick plays...they took away the Bronco Bread and butter. Manning completed a lot of passes but had very low yardage because his guys couldn't get any YAC.

I had picked the Broncs to win this one even though in the back of my mind I felt Peyton is washed up.
After watching him last night there is no doubt in my mind he is washed up.
It's time for him to call it a career.

I never really have liked him anyway.
Just a stat whore.

It's one of those obvious things that a good QB can get you into the playoffs, but you need a good QB and good team to advance. John Elway is one of the few QB's who was able to carry his team to the Super Bowl a few times.

Peyton Manning's problem is not the moment being too big for him, that's absurd. The problem with Manning is he's NOT the QB he once was. He is done.
