So, please explain to me, WHO exactly turned the word THUG into a racial slur? And what other words in the future will also be labeled that way?
If I call a black person a "cracker", will that make me a racist?
Are we supposed to take any word that describes a horrible act and just throw it out, because someone's feelings might be hurt? I mean, I understand WHY the "N" word shouldn't be used, as it has a history that speaks for itself. But THUG???
Should the word "punk" be thrown out next, because some people think it only pertains to black people?
Political correctness is making it impossible to talk at all, for fear of offending some weak person's feelings.
If thug bothers some so much, they need to get a backbone.
Troy constantly labels anyone that disagrees with his opinions as a right wing nut case.
Does he feel it's ok, because most of us "rightys" are white?
Does that make it OK to slander us, because we arn't the color he prefers not to insult?
I try to make points without name calling, but some think they are so righteous that they can throw out civility because THEIR opinion makes them SOOOO much better then those they rail on.
It's ok to stand up for yourself, if the point you are trying to make is actually valid. No matter WHAT color your skin is.
I hope that pedastal some put themselves on doesn't make the fall from it fatal.
Troy, do you know where the word "thug" comes from? It had NOTHINH to do with the color of someone's skin. You can try to make it that way today, but that doesn't make it so.
THUGEES I believe is where it comes from, and it was a group of people that did horrible acts. Not anything to do with color.
