no not really. I have seen dozens of fans from most other teams say the same thing. It is not whining if everyone but Lions fans (for the most part) feel the same way.

As far as if it was a Packer (say CM3 for instance) who was the one stepping back with one foot or two feet isn't the real issue. it is his long history of poor behavior. It could happen to anyone. Everyone is doubtful of it when Suh does it.

I wonder how many people didn't even see the play before they automatically proclaimed him guilty.

Besides, its still whining. Whine about the refs, whine about the dirty play, whine about the clock whine about whatever you want its still whining. It doesn't matter if its a fact or not, incessant complaining about it is whining. It's over and done, move on.

Funny thing is fans were whining about it and then when they realized that suspension could conceivably work against us they whined about that as well. Someone (maybe not here) said Suh should not be suspended for the Dallas game but for the next Lions/Packers game. I never heard anyone suggest Raiola should have been allowed to play against the Packers and be suspended for the next Lions/Bears game. We were all happy as clams when we heard they were going to be without their starting center. That is at least until we realized their backup might actually be better.

As far as what Ed Reed says Overturning my suspension was the right thing to do but he should have gotten several games" What an asshole. I don't know what Reed did to warrant his initial suspension but I'll bet a lot of people felt that was intentional and deserving of a multi game suspension as well.

I believe that was the hit. You can't put this in the same league as the Suh incident.

Yeah Reed is no paragon of virtue. One of the reason I posted it was because I thought it rather funny.

So the suspension was reduced because Ted Cottrell bought Suh's bullshit "my feet were cold and I didn't know what I was stepping on" story. If it ws an accident, then why was he fined 70k? Half assed chicken shit logic if you ask me.

As far as if a Packer player would have done this, there is no question I would want him to be suspended. And I wouldn't want McCarthy to give the bs "I didn't see it. I have no comment" cliche statement that coaches always use when one of their players does something dirty/stupid. I never believed in the "always back your players/teammates" logic.

My dad always told me, "I will always have your back, unless you do something stupid. Don't expect me to defend you if you are in the wrong."

As to your second point I would hope Packers fans who thought a Packer player did something like this intentionally would want him suspended. I would for sure but my point is that far fewer would think it was intentional. Either because it was a Packer player or because it is not Ndamukong Suh. They would argue it was truly an accident.

With that said, his half-assed excuse further confirms what we all knew, that he did this intentionally...and then he sort of gets off the hook, I guess? 70k is significant, although he's about to sign a contract in excess of 50 million, and as has been said, why remove one punishment to assess a different punishment? [duh]

With that said, I will shamefully acknowledge that as a biased Packer fan who doesn't want to see Dallas in the divisional round, I'm not that upset the suspension was lifted.

dfosterf (48m) : We do have good depth at running back imo. Still so frustrating. Bitching about it is a futile excercise, which I plan to do anyway.

dfosterf (13-Aug) : a lower back injury
dfosterf (13-Aug) : Doubs says he's "fine" after injury scare. Some reported it as z
Mucky Tundra (13-Aug) : With LVN that is; need to see what happens in the next practice
Mucky Tundra (13-Aug) : beast, reading about what happened, it sounded like one of those "two guys collide and are moving slow afterwards" type of deals
beast (12-Aug) : I believe Musgrave has been injured every single season since at least a Sophomore in highschool
packerfanoutwest (12-Aug) : Matt LaFleur: “Highly unlikely” Jordan Love plays more this preseason
dfosterf (12-Aug) : Doubs, Savion Williams, LVN, Musgrave all banged up to one degree or another, missing one here I forget

beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Apparently it is too complicated for several to follow your simple instructions, but I digress
