Good hands, hopefully the route running improves. He's never going to be a downfield threat like Finley, but hopefully he gets good at coming open between the LBs and DBs.

With Montgomery's apparent ascension, Janis' supposed physical skills, competent receiving backs, and 3 other very good options at WR, we don't need him to be Tony Gonzalez. There's an abundance of threats on offense already.

Just be a viable threat, find space in the red zone, and block. If he can do that, the offense will be humming.
