Face mask and extracurriculars aside, why are ball carriers still allowed to throw punches to the face when no other player (offensive or defensive) is allowed to?

Exactly. If you really aren't acting dirty, then when someone slaps you, you're going to turn around and say "what the heck was that for?" But he was being dirty so he knew exactly what the slap was for, so he didn't turn around.

What is sad is that if Suh and Bush are suspended it actually hurts us more than it helps us.

Lang was the only one to step up to that piece of shit.
Disappointing.

I would've loved to have had a situation where we could take a shot with a scrub backup that we don't need in a spot where a penalty doesn't matter. That spot never really presented itself.

I will whine some more about how dirty the lions were. It seemed to me they were intentionally attempting to helmet-spear on players on the ground multiple times. Look at the replay of the Lacy-non fumble for one.

Where does this overall scumbagness come from for the Lions? I guess it is just a consequence of living in Detroit.

The bottom line is that we didn't let his petulance distract us from seeing out the game. We didn't get ourselves any stupid penalties in response. We won. That hurts him more than any jawing ever could.

I saw that during the game and wondered why there was no call. Quick to throw a flag due to a hand grazing a helmet - but let Bush go WWE on a defender out of bounds. Pretty obvious which players the league is looking out for as usual. [puke]

Suspended 1 game.

Not enough.
