Why do so many people always want to complain and blame everybody else, but not look at themselves.

Of course I wouldn't expect a pompous prick like you to have any kind of idea of how fulfilling a minimum wage, extremely humbling job like that could be.

I'm sure you're a pillar of your community, PFWT, but compared to me - you're a lightweight and I have no idea why you try to press my buttons, but you might as well get in line with the rest of the dipshits, cause not one of you measures up and the more the merrier. Keeps the mods busy.

Troy, why do you have to turn every thread into a pissing contest? And to make everything a "republican\democrat" thing?
Just because someone disagrees with your views on some things doesn't make them evil, does it?
I think you are a good person even though I disagree with a lot of your ideas. I don't think it makes you evil.
You are an American and have the right of your opinions, and I believe that right also should be given to those that disagree with you.
Do you disagree with that?
I don't think I have belittled you , even if I think your views are sometimes wrong.
You just disregard or label us "conservatives" as all stupid idiots.
I don't understand that and I admit it hurts me that you constantly do that.
Even though you don't single me out, you throw me into your preconceived ideas and throw out any point I make by your condescending talk.
I don't do that with you.
I try to point out why I think your view might be wrong wih actual points. Not just say "oh, he's a dumb liberal so he's automatically wrong".

Not by you. Let's get that straigth first. We used to get into eachothers hairs in the religion threads, but that's a different story.

The whole premise of having everyone duke it out in the back alley, a place you had to apply for to get in, seemed like a pretty goot set-up to me. It didn't overflow into the random babble all that much.

Alan, I wish you would have just let it go instead of derailing the thread. But, I split it off because maybe you were right in responding and maybe some good can come from it. That's my foolishness side coming out, thinking glass half full, again.

Does that make sense? I guess I'm saying is the insults were more like two buddies in a bar and one slaps the others shoulder saying "dumbass". Where now it seems like there is true hatred and instead it is a fist to the face while angrily being called a leftist dumbass.

I enjoy watching folks duke it out. I really do. I like seeing point, counter-point, point, counter-point, point, counter-point and so on. What upsets me is when everything is twisted into politics or religion AND we get nothing but hatred.

Life is too short for hate, it is just too damn short for it. I don't expect everyone to get along or even like the next person. I do expect us to know when to walk away from a discussion/topic that has gotten lost in personal attacks.

I don't like having the back alley set up how it is. It tells me we are failing.

Labels are the cool way to go apparently.. you can't have thoughts on topics politically without someone trying to force you into a moniker.. left or right.. liberal or conservative. To some, you have to fall into one category or the other.

But it is by design, I believe, by the two parties in the big picture. Pitting the two bases against each other with strong rhetoric and disagreement keeps them in power overall. Too many are too busy arguing and beating each other up to actually form opinions with logic and common sense on each individual topic. Instead.. if you are a republican or a democrat you must stand for all of our policies overall. That is the mindset they hope to project upon their followers.

Truth is.. neither party is truly interested in what is best for the country.. they are interested in what is best for themselves, their pocketbook and their party. How else does some of the party line votes make any damn sense?

But back to the topic in a full circle sense.. we must continue to label each other and beat each other senseless time after time. In the end.. that is what the parties program the minions to do.

If I can mess with someone and move into a new box on them I rather enjoy it.

Kevin, I don't think it was me that derailed the thread. Troy was the one that turned a hunting thread into another "attack the evil conservatives" rant.
I don't hate Troy or any of the people that are liberals or whatever. But it seems some try to look for any chance they can to launch into an attack.
I myself don't understand that.
To me, if you can't "force" yourself to treat those you don't agree with with respect, how can you expect them to respect you and your opinions?
Maybe that's just me.
