What do you think about this?

Updated:
TA - Throw Away
HAT - Hit As Thrown
Pressure % - % of dropbacks under pressure per total dropbacks
Sack % - % of plays QB is pressured that turn into sacks
Comp % - % of passes completes while under pressure
Acc % - % of aimed passed QB completes with drops counted as completions  Untitled-1.jpg You have insufficient rights to see the content.

Jay has a lot more TDs while under pressure. It makes me sad.

Rodgers 6:1 td:int ratio is by far the best here, whatever ACC is, Brees at 2:7 TD:INT (by far the worst) leads in it, so it must not be a particularly useful stat.

The accuracy is not touchdowns to interceptions. There is a lot more to quarterbacking than just those two. This is depicting accuracy of the throws, every throw be it TD or INT or Completion.

A better TD to INT ration indicates a more prolific scoring passer, not a more accurate passer.

Every QB is affected by pressure.. but if I had to roll with one guy under pressure, to make a play or at worse make an incomplete pass.. I will take Rodgers.

Nah, I see your point about not throwing INT's, but being accurate is more than not throwing INT's. Under that premise, a QB who over throws everyone (offense and defense) is an accurate QB and that's just not the case. A QB who throws the ball in a spot where only his target can receive the ball, that is being accurate whether it is a TD or not, not relevant in that discussion.

My point was that accuracy or completion percentage alone is a poor metric for overall performance or efficiency, you don't have enough information with that statistic alone to come to concrete conclusions.

A QB who throws more incompletions but less interceptions and more touchdowns because he puts the ball in a position where its either going to be caught by his receiver or nobody is likely to be the most productive player, regardless of what his completion percentage ends up being. If you can boil this down to some sort of statistic I would love to see it, but its likely too subjective to accurately quantify, eg, what is an incompletion due to a poor throw and what is an incompletion due to a "safe" throw. Without knowing the play/route/etc I don't see how anyone accurately makes that judgement.

The title itself says "under pressure" and that is what this metric is gauging and does so accurately. This isn't saying one QB is better overall than the next. This is simply showing HOW the QB's perform WHILE under pressure. There's a distinction there. This isn't saying those QB's who perform better under pressure are overall better than those who do not.
