I said CONTENDER when the thread first came out.

Just for the record, Nelson BEAT the best Corner in the NFL on his TD play - no blown coverage I could see.

I'm not going to put too much stock into this game...obviously a good sign but still a lot of season to go.

That said, Bayless can kiss my asymptote.

This was a very clean game with very few definitive mistakes and penalties. Both squads missed FGs, had drives extended via ref issues - (adams push off not called tramon's illegal contact), both had "dropped" tds late. It was a close game, the Packers won. For this week, to the victor go the spoils, and shut it Skip!

Well, uffda udfa?

We just beat the top team in the AFC (up to this point in the season), with a great QB, best TE in the league, and a great coach. Didn't play our best game on offense: settled for 4 FGs, at least one of which should have been a TD (dropped pass). The Packers D held an explosive offense to 320 yards total offense and 21 pts. Oh, and the D gave up 84 yards rushing.

As a reminder of some of your previous posts:

Plenty of other material to quote from out there, but that captures the flavor of them...unrelenting assertions that the Packers team was crap.

BTW, what is our playoff record in this 2014 season?

A 2nd BTW, what was the YPC of the Pats RB's? We were VERY fortunate NE didn't commit to the run in this one. I'm sure it would've been different. Did you happen to see us "try" tackling Blount?

And without fail oof doof finds the negative lining in beating what many consider the best team in the league. Is the only thing that will give you any sort of enjoyment watching the packers fail?

Who said I wasn't happy? I'm ecstatic. I was responding to someone who had a chance to respond to me before the game but wasn't confident enough to do so. I was responding to him directly...not you...not anyone else but him. He made some silly statements and I responded to them.

I do think this is the right mentality instead of the gushing you'll see here and most everywhere in Packerland:

---Thank you, AJ...this is MEANINGLESS...UNLESS this team does something with it. I like playoff wins that lead to rings. Not regular season wins.

Ease off the name calling here football fans. A different opinion is a different opinion, it doesn't mean you need to stoop so low as to calling them names for said different opinion.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
Zero2Cool (23-Jun) : PFT claims Packers are having extension talks with Zach Tom, Quay Walker.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH
