You seem to imply that if the Packers had HFA they could beat the Seahawks. If a team is good enough to win at home, I think at the bare minimum you should consider them to be good enough to be competitive, if not "contend" for a win on the road. I don't dispute HFA that exists, especially with the 12th man, but you're still acknowledging they could beat the Seahawks under certain circumstances, so how wouldn't you then be considered a contender?
Ultimately who cares? They're not handing out Lombardis for who we think are the real contenders.
