I saw the packers out in Arizona a couple years back....They were walking from the bus...I was standing there with my parents at about 7 30 in the morning...Favre and Reggie stopped and talked. Reggie yelled at my mother for driking soda so early in the morning. Said it was bad for her health lol.

I would have asked for his autograph

I was getting my season tickets at Raiders headquarters when they were in L.A.

Howie Long walked out into the parking lot and I asked him for an autograph.

He loooked at me then said "Fuck You" and kept on walking.

He must have had a bad day.

That was the coolest "Fuck You" I ever got.

getting a "fuck you" from a Raider is consistent with the "signature" Raider attitude, so being told "Fuck you" by a Raider is basically the same as an autograph... right?

Awesome.

If I'll ever get to GB while Jennings still plays there, I'll sleep in front of the store waiting for him.

It was really cool the way it was set up. It was winter time, VERY cold.
I'm used to having to wait outside for most autograph signings. So i was VERY surprise when it was indoors at Steinhafels furniture store. They gave you a number when you came in, as Jennings was only signing 500 autographs. I was about #240. I got there about an hour before the signing, just to try to make sure i had a shot at getting it. Of course there were LOTS of people there. They called the people up in groups of 50. In the mean time, i was able to find a nice sofa, with a big screen TV to watch while i waited. The autograph was FREE, so you couldn't beat it!

I skipped my yearly trip to Lambaeu this year hoping to save enough to take my girl to Applebee's. She deserves a special night at a fancy place :thumbleft:

That's awesome! I'd love to see Jennings other than behind my TV screen.

I met Bart Starr and Gale Sayers during week 2 of the '04 season a few years back when we lost to the Bears. They unvieled a statue of Bart Starr and I was able to shake his hand and get two autographs on two packer hats, he was a nice guy, actually started conversation with me cause I was too star struck. Defintely a moment I will never forget, at the game during pregame warmups, I yelled out to Al Harris and he snapped his fingers and pointed at me with a wink. Best Weekend Ever!

I worked security at the Vince Lombardi golf tourny one year back in the 1980s, and one of my duties was to drive a golf cart around the parking lot to make sure no one messed with any of the cars there. Of course there were MANY expensive cars in the lot. Towards the end of the day, I saw a guy walking in front of me wearing a green sports jacket. I thought to myself "From the back, that looks like it could be Bart Starr." Sure enough, it WAS him! He motioned me to stop my cart. I jumped off, and said "Yes Mr. Starr?" He stuck out his hand, and said "I just want to thank you for the great job you are doing. It's people like you that make it possible for us to hold this tournament." I'm shaking his hand, and thinking "Bart Starr is thanking ME!?!?" I about died!!! All i had on me was my notebook to write in in case i needed to take down any info, but i asked him "Mr. Starr, could i please have youe autograph?" He said "Certainly!" And signed a page in my notebook, "Alan, Best wishes, Bart Starr". It's only on a piece of paper, but i still have it and it's one of my most prized autographs!

Oh....and Bart just had his 75th birthday a few days ago. I hope he's around for MANY more!!!

A couple years ago i wrote a fan letter to him, retelling the story i just wrote here, and what it meant to me. I enclosed a football card of him and asked him if he could sign it for me, and 2 weeks later i got it back in the mail personalized to me.

That is a great story.

I'm still planning on writing something to KGB (Althoug I have no idea how to reach him now), Charles Woodson, Donald Driver and/or Rodgers. I still have to figure out how to get those letters back though, as it says you have to include stamps, but I can't buy american ones.

Starr looks like a really nice guy though. From the storys I'm hearing here, he seems like just a regular guy, something I love the most about players like him and Donald Driver. And that's also why I dislike people like TO.

Yup Rock....TO is an idiot. He loves himself more then anyone.

Maybe your post office can give you an idea on how to include return postage.

Or.....put a nice note in the letter you send telling how you live in a foreign country and couldn't get return postage. Being as you are a fan from another place, they may just return it to you because of your location.

Just remember.......don't send anything to be signed that you don't want to lose, as there's no guarentee you will ever get it back.

Also....be SURE to write a nice fan letter to whoever you want an autograph from.
I also would think that if you send something to the Packers for KGB, they would forward it to him. Just write "Please forward to KGB for me" on the envelope.
Hope that helps you!
Let us know how it turns out, ok?

dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.

dfosterf (25-Jul) : Maybe a low flying drone
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Did Savion Williams run into a goalpost or something?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : also, no bueno when a guy starts getting concussions right off the bat in his career
Zero2Cool (25-Jul) : Concussion is worse. Banks probably vet off day via back booboo claim
