I think netting a yard or two is equally attainable by either Eddie Lacy or James Starks or even John Kuhn.

What I find annoying and this might derail the thread, (oops), is when the Packers are in Goal 2 Go (e.g. less than 10 yards to score) and they are in Shotgun!

The reason I favor Harris over Starks, though, is Starks needs a good hole to be effective. When the blocking is not as good, as usually is the case with the Packers O Line, Harris seems to have the vision or whatever to adjust and find a small crease to run through.

I'd ship 'em all out, even Lacy, to get Melvin Gordon, though.

I like the mix of a beast with Lacy and a quicker yet still a decent size back in Starks. I would like to see Harris more involved, but the season is young.

Personally, I completely disagree with the Backs get better as the game goes on theory. What is happening is as the game goes on, the Oline is wearing the defensive front down making it easier to run as the game goes on.

Currently the way our Oline is run blocking, Starks seems like the better option. He has greater ability to bounce outside and get to the edge faster than Lacy.

It is amazing how quickly some forget the 2012 season. The Grant/Starks backfield had most wishing for a real running attack. Now that we have Lacy and a running attack, they want to revert to a pre-2013 run attack. [duh]

And yes, some RB's do get better as a game progresses, label it with whatever reason/reasons one wishes, the results cannot be ignored. Lacy is one of those RB's. When, during the Dolphins game , Rodgers, Lacy , and Kuhn all lined up together in the same backfield, my heart nearly leapt out of my chest with pride. Old School still works, fundamental football, Lombardi would have been proud ! šŸ‘
