FWIW -- Several stories pointed out before yesterday's game that Lacy actually has struggled more running from under center this season. Lower YPC, by a decent amount.
I think it will be important for Green Bay to be able to run from Shotgun, but more in terms of changed plays at the line than lining up and trying to establish that identity from the spread.
I do agree, though, that Lacy is going to be best served getting plenty of opportunities from under center. If the Packers o-line can block as aggressively going forward as they did last night, it will bode well -- particularly for the play action passing game.

Last night he could've been in either and probably been fine with the holes he had.
I, too, am excited and have been excited watching play action freeze defenders. I enjoyed seeing several deep shots last night. We should be chucking them long occasionally. Hopefully, Janis will become a part of what we do so we can see him fly and make plays.
Still, I wonder about this team vs. the better teams in the league. It's great they put 80 on the Bears and Vikings but those aren't the teams you need to do it against to get anywhere meaningful.
Here's Eddie's quote from ESPN:
"I've been [with the quarterback] under center, or behind [the quarterback] my whole life, pretty much," Lacy said. "But even though you might not like something, you have to adapt to it. It’s your job."
If that sounded like Lacy doesn't like running out of the shotgun, he quickly clarified.
"It's not that I don't like running from out of shotgun or I don’t like running from [the quarterback being] under center, you have to do what you have to do," Lacy said. "And this is just part of what you have to do."
---I only posted the 2nd half of this as to not be accused of holding back the rest of what he said. To me, the 2nd portion was a big back off from a clear statement that he doesn't like the gun.
Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."
