Taking one step back means taking two steps forward, according to this articles author. The author also says Mike McCarthy should be stripped of his play calling duties so he can focus on being head coach.

It's only Week 4 of the NFL season but with the one quarter mark of the 2014 season coming after this weekend, now is the time fans will get either giddy or jittery about their team's chances. Fans of the Green Bay Packers as of right now definitely fall into the latter category. The Packers [...]

Bitchin.

I also wouldn't mind if they got their shit together and won another SB.

it’s becoming more and more clear Green Bay isn’t quite the contender many had them made out to be in training camp and the preseason.

I take issue with this statement.

Everytime this team shits itself, people say this. But you know what? It's not true. This is a talented team. When they lose, they generally lose ugly. And they do it by shitting themselves, not getting straight up beat by another team.

Remember the safety last week? Lang pulled. He makes that block, Lacy gets some good yards. It always goes like that.

If this team played as well as they could and still got blown out, it wouldn't bother me. But this team is capable of far more than they ever actually do.

So I don't wanna hear this bullshit about how we're "just not that good." We are. Our I should say, our team is. Time for them to step up and show it, or make way for someone who will.

However, the last two seasons have shown an eye opening trend. The Packers continue to get shredded defensively by teams who run the read option or have a mobile quarterback. Despite Thompson infusing the roster with new defensive talent in the 2012-2014 draft classes, the defense continues to have the same issues.

The defense held this team to 10 points, and got THREE turnovers. I'll take that performance very week.

2 weeks ago The NY Giants were the worst team in the NFL, now they are being talked about as division contenders.

These guys in the media flip flop more than any politician ever had the guts to do.

How about writing an article like that after The Packers have lost more than 8 games.

Just another media guy hoping The Packers do finish below :500, just so he can refer back to this article and say "see I told you so"

This shit is getting old.

Enjoy the damn season, win or lose, it's still Packer football.

I'll start panicking when that little ticker at the bottom of the tv screen reads, "Packers officially eliminated from playoff contention".

Don't see it happening anytime soon.

I agree with Buckeye and Nerdmann.
All this speculation and talk about what is wrong with the Packers. What is ironic is when they hit a bump in the road like this McCarthy just goes on and stays the course and they ultimately get things turned around.

It's 16 games till the playoffs and every team is going to have to survive a period where they aren't playing the best football. It's not if you will hit a bump in the road. It's when. For us it's now. Rather that than week 14 or 15.

I hear this McCarthy shouldn't call the plays let Rodgers do it. WHAT? Why? The problem is there is breakdowns in execution so what difference does it make who calls the play or what play is called. Nerdmann was spot on about the safety. If you saw that play right after the handoff it was THERE. All Lang has to do is block his guy and it's a 20 yarder. There was nothing wrong with the play.

Another time on 2nd and 2 they give it to Lacy and he has an easy 1st down to the left. I mean he could have turned around and ran backwards for a first down but he unexplainably cuts back outside, gets caught up in a pile, and dropped for a 4 yard loss. They don't convert the 3rd and 6 and another drive down the drain.

They just need to go out and do their job. It's not that they can't. Lang can make that block and Lacy can ram it up inside and make the defense pay. They have done it over and over before.

It's not that they don't have the talent to play much better than they are. The problem is they are not playing up to the level of talent they have. There is no excuse for dropping 5 passes. Rodgers has been off his game a bit too but it's not like these guys have not all shown they are better than what they are right now. This is why Rodgers is saying chill. He knows he has the guys to get it done.

I'm not even going to waste my time reading this. Its September and we're already talking about having a losing season?

1. Its September.
2. Its never good to have a losing season.

I still don't believe we are a Super Bowl team and really don't think we are a playoff team. This team has been declining since the 15-1 season. But hey we won the Super Bowl in 2010 so that is good for a 20 year span of mediocre. These seasons remind me of the late Favre years were we would make te playoffs because of a weak division and lose the 1st round. I am basically saying this

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

beast (4h) : Wow, 95% drop in investment revenue? Would be interesting to hear the details of why...
dfosterf (25-Jul) : It's my one day deal complaint dept. on shareholder meeting day
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Resulting in an actual drop of net revenue of 12.5%. She is from Minnesota. Just sayin'
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Any plans to hold Maureen Smith (CFO) accountable for a 95% drop in investment revenue?

Zero2Cool (23-Jul) : Suppose if locker room is main issue, we sitting pretty
wpr (23-Jul) : I thought so Mucky. In those useless player polls GB always rates high overall. Locker is a part of it.
