I have been on here but a short time and I had not seen much posted by Pack93z, so I went back and reviewed some of his comments and thoughts on various topics.
The man is very well versed and knowledgeable when it comes to football and in life's journey, his insight is thoughtful, wise and his perspective is pretty much "dead nuts on".

As to TexasPackerBacker, well he is long on the mouth and very short on anything of substance. Just ignorance and bigotry, a waste of skin if you will.
To put it another way, the only hope for TexasPackerBacker is if he were to have a navelplex .

Pack93z is the type of guy that you would enjoy sitting down and having a few beers with.
On the other hand, TexasPackerBacker is the type of guy that you wouldn't piss on even if he were on fire.

You are a christian in name only. I've been reading your drivel since you showed up and most of the time I just shake my head at your ignorance, bigotry and hatred and move on. Every so often I pipe up mostly to amuse myself. Then I go back to reading some fun and entertaining takes on my favorite football team from some pretty funny and passionate fans. You can call me a loser or anti-christian or anti-american all you want, it makes no difference to me. I just revel in the fact that I've never once said anything as hateful or ignorant or bigoted and then hid behind a book to justify my beliefs.

Unfortunately, I can't give this post more attention at the moment (I've got to review my notes one more time before my 1:30 class), but let me just try to clarify one bit about that "silly little book" and those of us who strive to "obey" it.

What God wants from us is faith. The obedience comes after. It is something we strive to do because of our faith and trust in his love. Not because he has threatened us with eternal damnation for our failure to obey him.

Without faith, we are damned. Period. Regardless of what part of the Law we choose to obey or not. We are born doomed to die. And having died, to eternally be worm food.

We who have decided to have faith in Him strive to obey Him, not because we believe that obedience will save us. We obey Him because we want to reciprocate a small part of his incredible loving sacrifice for us.

I know its just a part of that silly little book, but you might want to think on the attitude reflected by verses such as Romans 1: 1-5.

Grace came first. We did nothing to deserve it. That's why it's called grace.

Then faith.

Then obedience. Or at least our attempts at it. We all still fall horribly short, of course.

But that doesn't lose us the grace.
