I certainly am not pissed.. upset nor thin skinned. lol.. not in the least.
I just personally hold little regard for Texas's opinion of myself, my intelligence nor my beliefs and core values. I am good with that, truly I am. I truly don't care if he criticizes my words or thoughts, it is his right to do so and this is the back alley at its current form. He is free to hold his opinion, as we all are.
But for me, in seeing his entire body of work displayed here, I am very secure with disagreeing with most of what he holds to be correct. The fact that he cannot hold a conversation for more than a couple of posts without some type of jabbing comment to me tells me all I need to know about the man. Repeatedly.
And rest assured.. I slept fine last night holding that opinion.
Not sure what stuck the conversation in chat, Foster thanks but no worries mate.
Back to the topic, Texas, you railed on the current laws, would that not be the point of the 14th amendment, the core foundations of this country, to strike any law opposing gay marriage as unconstitutional? Seems to me it did the same for interracial marriage, so riddle me the difference?
As far as this further destroying the foundation of this country, you really want to prompt this up as a banner for that? With the rampant greed in this country and this government, you want to fall back on this argument? Homosexuality is, at the very least, mildly contradicted in the bible; greed is not.
Matthew 19:21
Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
But regardless.. I think, with as diverse as this country is, and with the underlying notion laid out in the first amendment, there shall be "wall of separation between church and state". How is it relevant to argue the point in the first place?
Like it or not, the Constitution and the wisdom of the founders to write the amendments, set forth his country to be a free one. It is hard pressed to bring in the argument of Judeo-Christian beliefs into the discussion. But I understand.. you have little else to argue on the point.
