I expect Randall Cobb to be focusing on WR by Week 2. The Packers coaches have said over and over again that starting off with a win is very important to them. I think this game has a touch of "revenge" with the Fail Mary deal. Even though it wasn't the Seahawks fault, I think the Packers, specifically Aaron Rodgers, will be aiming to light up the Seahawks.

I think Jeff Janis will be returning punts when they play the Jets.

OK, not more than those things as they are much more important but I can't think of a better incidental result of a win than finally getting to lay that thing to rest.

Its over and done. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers may well be looking to light it up but I doubt they are thinking too much about one game that happened 2 seasons ago.

No offense zero but if the Packers don't beat the seahawks for the next 20 years people will still be bringing up the revenge factor for that game.

I really can't believe some people, maybe not you specifically zero I am just using your post because it was handy, are still so obsessed with that game.

Remember it, learn from it, forget it, isn't that what they say.

While I'd love to see them clobber the Seahags 100-0 for revenge, I'll also take a normal win by my team over the defending Super Bowl champs on the road (if that makes sense).

To be honest, I feel like we'll get the highlight as the game starts but it will be quickly buried lest it remind people of all the other atrocious officiating that occurred with the scabs.

I think this game has a touch of revenge and it's balls to the wall and that opinion is predicated on what I've heard/read players and coaches say about it. Mike McCarthy has said a few times how important it is to win this game. He hasn't spoken those words in direct light of Fail Mary and I believe he was over it first. As evidenced by my comments, I was done with it a long time ago.

Read this article with Aaron Rodgers  comments and tell me you think he's entering this game as ho-hum another game. This guy still pissed off that he went 24th overall back in 2005 and you think he doesn't have something extra for this game? You add in that he missed what half of 2013?

I have said many times. Fail Mary wasn't the fault of the Seahawks, it was the officials. It wasn't the fans, it wasn't the players, it wasn't the coaches... it was the officials. I think Packers fans are pissed off at how the Seahawks portray the win as they earned it, instead of acknowledging it was given to them.

Hmm just had a quick thought. What if that play occurred this season with the NFL office in New York reviewing everything?

This game burns my ass and the 4th and 26 loss the the Eagles also burns my ass. I can be pissed at the refs for blowing the call, but I am still pissed that our D coordinator didn't draft up a play to give Wilson next to no time to think and let their guys get down field to have a shot at a play. To me it makes little sense and I don't see how the percentage of success is better to allow a hail Mary type scenario vs. a need to get the ball out of his hands quick scenario.
