I know it's my confirmation bias talking, but that's not very good. If you're draft and develop and that's your record based on the draft please tell me how/why our GM got an extension?

Datone is on his way to joining the failures. Our D will likely continue to be below average, at best, but there's no accountability. It's the exact opposite...a raise and an extension. Makes sense. [puke]

The thing that makes it even worse is that they were back to back. Two bad drafts with a year or two in between is a little easier to build on I think. You had guys you were counting on from 2011 that didn't pan out for whatever reason so you had to look to fill those positions again in 2012 and when those guys didn't pan out it made 2013 that much more crucial.

I understand my perspective is a little pessimistic, but I think Hayward's rookie season was more of an exception than the norm. I don't expect him to be an elite player. At this point, I'm just hoping he can be "good," and even that's looking questionable so far this preseason. It looks like Hyde and Tramon Williams have been starting in the slot in dime packages in practice recently. I do remember at least one or two of Hayward's interceptions being thrown directly to him. I understand he was in position and made the catches, but I can't help but think a few of those picks were as much horrible plays by the quarterback as they were good plays by Hayward. Only one or two of his interceptions, though.
