If you're referring to me, that's rich. Please, tell me the evidence I've dismissed that counters my viewpoint.

They were probably going to cut him. One thing about when we've kept other guys around longer is we didn't have as good of DL depth that we do now. They probably just see guys like Boyd and Thornton as at least similar talent wise as Worthy but they aren't coming off ACL and back surgery. No need to keep a guy around when you've got similar talent that's healthy.

While we don't have any overwhelming studs on our D Line, we have a lot of depth and even if healthy Worthy may have been odd man out.

However, if you want to throw out that term for me and not others, I find that hysterical, especially here. I try very hard to be fair....not supportive. I do not enjoy Ted Thompson as a GM and that is not because I just don't like him it is based on how I view his hits and misses. I'm beyond thankful Rodgers is our QB, but I'm disappointed Ted Thompson has failed to put a team around him especially on D. If you really want to be frank as Ted Thompson would say, he's done a terrible job on that side of the ball. How many years is Clay not going to have an adequate complement? How many years is safety going to be a black hole? How many years are we going to get pedestrian play from our ILB's? How many years are we going to fail to trot out a quality DL with depth for rotation purposes.

My interpretive view is based on the failings of this team. Many others interpretive view is based on the fact we get to the playoffs. That is a simple thing to do when you have the best QB in the history of the NFL under center. You should get to the playoffs with that guy. To lose out like we regularly do is embarrassing considering we have the best QB. Manning didn't have all that good of teams in Indy either. They give him a team...and he's in the bowl with the highest scoring O in NFL history. Favre goes to Minny and finally gets some stud weapons and posts his best season as a pro. Ted Thompson needs to build a team before Rodgers ends up one and done in the career ring category. Tick, tick, tick but it's all just great in Green Bay because we make the playoffs????? I will never ever get that...ever.

My major? It was El Ed but I graduated with highest honors in broadcasting after a switch.

I didn't throw out the term. I just admired it being used in a sentence. Why is this being made out to be anything more than that?

Anyways, it's all relative. People tend to argue when their opinions are formed from different premises. That's all well and good. That's why we have forums. I'm just enjoying the show my friend.

Many teams would KILL to win their division and make the playoffs every year. I am fairly young, so I am lucky. The packers have been contenders almost every year I have been a coherent fan. Only 1 of 32 teams can ultimately be the winner any given year and I feel Thompson puts us in position each year. I WANT TO HEAR WHAT YOU WANT IN A GM!!!

Lombardi was a winning is the ONLY thing guy. The fans of today can't relate to that sentiment...too busy basking in the glory of things that aren't even penultimate.

I don't know a fan of any team that goes into the year with the sole goal of hoping to win the division championship. I watch in the hopes we can luckily win one when I should be watching us as favorites considering who our QB is... we're barely top 3 in the NFC. That is sad.

There's no way it could be schematic considering New England runs the same scheme. They just have a better coach.

[palm] My goodness. You didn't watch it, did you? Go back and explain to me which teams had a need at QB who drafted before the Packers. I believe there is even a clip on YouTube where it shows him in the green room picks before we picked and the ESPN crew talking about Green Bay being the logical place for him to go.

Once a team is in place to do that then they need to sake the next step and try to put a team out there that will consistently go deep into the playoffs. This bubble GB has been on will not last forever. That GB has ben able to ride it for so long is an amazing feat. Most of which is due to the 2 starting QBs they have had during this period. It would be a shame to walk away with only 2 SBs in 25 years.

Mucky Tundra (13h) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (15h) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (15h) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (15h) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (18h) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.
