Free agent safety and Wisconsin boy Jim Leonard wants to play for the Green Bay Packers and has had discussions to that affect. The Packers ain't biting though.

I'm sure there are a lot of unemployed players out there that would love to play for the Packers. Lots of employed players too. Who wouldn't want to play for such a great organization, led by Ted Thompson!

Too short. Too old. Too slow.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

I was thinking maybe as a fill in coach, after all he did play with some of the best defenses in Baltimore and New York. He could teach our young guys some stuff about the 3-4 defense. It would have to be cheap though
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I've never been a huge Jim Leonard fan but he's a vet that's carved out a decent career for himself despite some physical limitations. Not a bad type to have on your bench but I don't see him getting playing time over Hyde or Haha so it's almost not really worth the bother. If Richardson keeps showing promise in pre-season like he did in OTAs I would rather go with him. I'm not for the move but if it happens it won't really bother me, I see the benefit and he was certainly better than anything we put out there last year.

Seems he is always looking ahead and trying to cover any circumstance that could develope.

I put Leaonard in the group with Pickett, and Jolly(if cleared), veteran guys who, in a pinch, could come in in an emergency and at worst be a stop gap.

No harm in Ted making contact with Leonard and letting him know there's interest if there is a need.

I think the Packers have enough former Badgers. This guy has bounced around the last several years for a reason.

I really want to play for the Packers too, but I kind of lack the atheltism and talent to be considered. Who wants to write an article about my desire???

Martha Careful (16h) : does anyone have a thread to a broadcast? I do not have Peacock.
Mucky Tundra (16h) : Baltimore-Buffalo line has been BAL -1 to -1.5. Gotta be rare that a divisional home team that won 13 games is an underdog at home
