I hate it that is how.

If he was comparable in size to Johnson it wolf accept it but he is too tiny in comparison.
Vice Grip. I like that one.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

My proposal for a nickname

"The Curse"

Here is my rationale behind it.

He is being called Optimus Prime now and since that nickname is claimed by at least two other players adding another would just be too confusing. Using the following logic I came up with the nickname "The Curse"

Optimus is a corruption of the word optimum which means BEST.

Prime is taken to mean the BEST of something

so the nickname Optimus Prime means the BEST BEST

Since the word best is used 2 times and the Latin designation for 2 is BI the nickname Optimus prime can be interpreted as BEST BI which in turn can be modernized into BEST BUY (since we don't want to get into any other connotations of BI) which probably means the guy is an electronics whiz and honed his football skills playing Madden which we all know carries a curse. Ta Da..."The curse"

It also fits because we hope that opposing teams and fans will be cursing is tremendous plays for the Packers for years to come

It also fits because when he was selected it made a couple of people on this forum swear like hell.

And if there is a player with the nickname "the Curse" we can go with my second choice "The Turducken" but I think "The Curse" strikes more fear into peoples hearts. Kinda like "Night Train" and "Manimal"

Zero2Cool (19-Nov) : Offense gets his ass in gear, this could be good.

Zero2Cool (17-Nov) : Bears get OL fixed amd we might have a problem
buckeyepackfan (17-Nov) : Pretty sure they already have scouting reports on guys who aren't even starting for their college team. The future is now for me.
buckeyepackfan (17-Nov) : I tend to let Gute and Co. Worry about the future.
beast (17-Nov) : That's great news and Packers need to keep upgrading their OL, DL and DBs this off-season, so missing one guy doesn't kill them
