At least it's not just another abbreviation of the person's name as seems to be too often the case.
Whatever happened names like the Alabama Antelope, Dick "Night Train" Lane, Mean Joe Greene, Alan "The Horse" Ameche, "Crazylegs" Elroy Hirsch, The Minister of Defense, The Refrigerator, etc? Nicknames used to actually mean something, tell you something about the player, or capture their character. Seems like most nicknames today are just lazy.
