Per Rotoworld:



Packers agreed to terms with DT Letroy Guion, formerly of the Vikings.
Miscast as a nose tackle in Minnesota, Guion struggled mightily in each of the past two seasons. He should get more freedom with Green Bay, playing more of a disruptive role off the bench. 27 in June, Guion managed 21 tackles and a sack in 13 starts last year. He'll compete for playing time in sub-packages.

Don't know much about this guy. Is there anything that he does well?

Green Bay --- Two days after its big splash on the defensive line, the Green Bay Packers added another player for the roation.

Looks like a typical DT type player. Not a fullsize Raji NT, but not a DE either. Hard to have to many 300+ lbers.

Another 4-3 player. Vikings fans don't think much of him, but like the article says -- he was miscasted.

I'm indifferent about the signing, but considering New England showed interest it gives me some confidence. Say what you want about that team, but Bill Belichick knows how to build a roster and all his players know their roles.

Looks like a typical DT type player. Not a fullsize Raji NT, but not a DE either. Hard to have to many 300+ lbers.

Guess that moves dline to the bottom of the draft needs list. Peppers, Daniels, Jones, Raji, Boyd, Guion and Worthy.

Edit: On second thought, that moves dline more to the middle of the pack on draft priorities.

Actually you CAN have too many 300+ lbers - they are generally worthless on special teams.

Question: Does anybody know for sure, regarding Raji's $4 million contract, what if this guy Guion or somebody else greatly outshines him in the preseason? Can the Packers cut Raji without liability? Or is his salary guaranteed?

He still has to make the team. But he deserves a shot imo.
