I would only disagree with Safety being or greatest need. We could have Ed Reed in his prime and with our front 7 our secondary would suck. We can do more to improve our Safety play, but fixing what is up front.

Not sure who, but I would like to see maybe 3 Dlineman brought in to create serious competition in the trenches and create a deep rotation of bodies to cycle through and keep fresh.

There are still a couple of mid-range Safetys out there, as has been pointed out. Sooner, not later is the time to go after one. And high in the draft is a good time to get an ILB.

If we go the safety route, we are one injury from the same place, if we add multiple up front, we have more room for error.

There is massive money spent in the first week to ten days of free agency. I don't want the Packers any part of it unless it is another Reggie White type player. It is insane some of these deals we are seeing. Maybe large portions are signing bonuses that will be prorated? Either way, a free agent is a free agent for a reason.

I'm looking for the Packers to grab someone on the DL that's more of a tier 2 talent and will pay him tier 3 money. The Packers aren't a future hall of famer away from being legit Super Bowl threats. They are a few average to good defensive starters away.

I wonder how long the tier 2 talent is going to last.

Why do I fear that "Tier 2" for Ted means B J Raji?

Or are you also counting draft choices in your three?

Just wondering.

dfosterf (26-Jun) : I think it would be great to have someone like Tom Grossi or Andy Herman on the Board of Directors so he/they could inform us
dfosterf (26-Jun) : Fair enough, WPR. Thing is, I have been a long time advocate to at least have some inkling of the dynamics within the board.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
