I highly doubt any team is purposely going in the tank to get higher draft pick. For me that's nonsense.
First of all, coaches and staffs cannot afford to do this or their ass is on the line. Even if a given coach is safe they are so because they are winners and not bred to accept losing.
How do they pull this off anyhow? Go into the locker room and tell their players, who are also programmed as winners or they wouldn't be in the NFL, to not play hard or what? Then, after that what happens? A staff condones losing one season and then comes out the next all fired up and ready to win?
For what? To draft 6th or 8th instead of 16th or 18th? Like there is some guarantee that is going to turn a losing team into a playoff team? Come on.
So Atlanta went in at halftime and the staff or the players or both said "hey, we're not doing enough to lose this game?"
Really? The whole concept is laughable for me.
"The train is leaving the station."
