103 yards in one half of football, for a 5.6 yard per carry average is disappointing?

I'm high on the kid.

I hope this was just a roster move and not some perverse attempt at hiding a serious neck injury.

I might add the The packers are a 1 RB team. The #1 guy gets the vast majority of the carries. The #2 guy may get a few and the #3 guy is lucky to get in on an offensive play. Lacy is #1, Starks is #2, that leaves Franklin on the sidelines for the offense.

Really? Why continue with this? I would love to hear your thoughts on him if he had gone to some other school than Ohio State. I think Hawk has played much better this season than his two previous. Why make your fellow posters go out of their way to beat this dead horse, in a topic that doesn't even mention your AJ Hawk?

Aiyewa is 6-1 234 apparently. Hope the kid does well.

I mean if you wanna keep him fine, but we have to get better there some time in the future. You need a good MLB in the NFL these days, he just isn't the same. I have no doubt Ted Thompson will try to keep him. The only thing that he has stock in is availability. Which will benefit his return. But i'd seriously consider moving him into a backup role next year if they keep him.

I would be fine actually with Brad Jones and Lattimore starting.

If you are fine with Jones and Lattimore that is one thing, no real need to go out and find a replacement but if you cut him and have to replace him you don't really gain anything.

Aiyewa is what he is, a UDFA signed to the practice squad, and now because of injuries he is on the 53 man roster.

Would be amazing if, when he gets a chance to play, he would contribute.

At most he will be playing Special teams, hopefully he will contribute.

The problem will be if he is forced into playing defense and doesn't perform like a 4 year vet, he will be vilified by some and branded a failure.

IE: Just look at what is being said about Tolzien.

Ted does his job, selecting these guys, I figure he must know what he's doing, or The Packers would not have hired him/and kept him.

I will defend him, just like I do all other players on the 53 man roster.

No matter where they went to college.

Again, it was a joke.

42 passing attempts against PHI with Wallace and Tolzienā€¦ ???? WOW. Just pound the freaking rock!

Pity about Franklin. Wish he could have gotten work as a pass catcher out the backfield.

To me, that seems kind of pig headed and lazy. As a HC, why would you not adjust your game plan to increase your odds of securing a W? Run, run, and run some more, chew up clock and keep a potent PHI offense off the field. Didn't happen.

Why not think outside the box and throw 50 carries at them, using all 3 RBs? Had we done this during this stretch without Rodgers, we might be 7-4 or 8-3.

With Franklin out, do they promote Orwin Smith and his 9.3 yards/carry average @GT from the PS to the roster? Probably wait to see if someone else goes down firstā€¦?
