The Packers signed a receiver, Allen Lazard, off the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad to take Jones' spot on the active roster.
I liked Lazard as a potential draft prospect, his big down size was that he lacked the speed/athleticism to lose college CBs, so always covered, his big upside was that even covered, the CBs couldn't stop him as he'd get the ball anyways.
As a draft prospect I was thinking
moving him at TE, as he's not athletic enough for WR in the pros, also I saw where someone pointed out his pre-draft testing numbers are shockingly similar to TE Robert Tonyan who was also a WR in college.
The only number that wasn't shocking close was weight, in which Tonyan weighted 9 pounds more... but even that is close.
