My understanding based off some of the things Capers has said,

The nickel spot is for a do it all CB, who can cover the slot, run defense and blitz.

While the dime spot is a lot more like a coverage LB as if the other team decides to go no huddle, and run the ball a lot, they're going to have to get super physical and at times maybe even bang it up with the OL some.

For the nickel spot, I would say Hayward all the way but Williams/the rookie (Hyde) have surprised me there and House has looked very good on the outside when Williams moves in. I would say the CB has to make them compete for it, but if the Hayward from last year shows up, it's going to be very hard to keep him away from the slot because he seemed to have amazing instincts for the position.

For that dime spot... I say it's HYDE all the way. I don't think there is a more physical DB on this team, and he seems to struggle a bit deeper in the field so more LB like and the kid SERIOUSLY knows how to blitz as he uses his hands very well to keep blockers off of him and on seems like he doesn't miss tackles often which is great.

I don't care if our interceptions are down. I like sacks and getting off the field on third down just as much.

Big decisions for Uncle Ted. Have to resign Shields - should be top priority. Do we let Tramon Williams walk? And if we can't ever find another safety, is Micah Hyde a possibility?

If Hayward comes back and is the same player as when he left, I'd say let Williams walk. He's obviously a great player to have on your team and I'd love to keep him but he's gone downhill this year (not to say he's BAD, just not being a gamechanger like he was in the past) and we've got plenty of younger, cheaper talent on the roster at CB.

Tramon will need to take a pay cut.

And that's the idea.

Hyde was a corner.

There are about 31 other teams in the NFL who wish they had our problems at CB. I love what Tramon Williams has done for our team, but all this new talent playing at such high levels will make it difficult for the veteran to stick around. They are simply that good.

You all can keep conjecturing what's gonna happen next year.

I don't care.

This is NOW, all I know is that The Packers are better this week then they were last week as far as the db's go because Casey Hayward is back.

The season is moving into November.

THIS IS GRIND TIME!!!!

It's going to take every one of these guys to get to the end of the season and hopefully into the playoffs.

I for one am glad there are veterans like Tramon Williams still playing, he's been there, done that.

The Young guys have been coming around, playing well, but nobody knows how they will react in 2 weeks...4weeks...6 weeks from now.

Some may hit that "rookie wall" hopefully not, but if any do, players like Tramon Williams will be there to get them through it.

I let Ted Thompson worry about next year, 2 years from now, hell I bet he is looking at players for 3 years from now, BECAUSE THAT IS HIS JOB, and he is doing it very well.

This team is shaping into what could become something very special, enjoy the transformation, enjoy the 2013 season.

How these DBs continue to perform are key in our superbowl aspirations. I hope to watch them grow as well as key members of the rest of the team particularly the lines (which I care about the most).

dfosterf (22-Feb) : I read De'Vondre Campbell's tweet this morning (via the New York Post) Florio says that if he invested his earnings wisely, he will be good

Zero2Cool (19-Feb) : NFL informed teams today that the 2025 salary cap will be roughly $277.5M-$281.5M
Zero2Cool (19-Feb) : Los Angeles Chargers are likely to release DE Joey Bosa this off-season as a cap casualty, per league source.
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : If the exploit is not fixed, we'll see tons of "50 top free agents, 50 perfect NFL team fits: We picked where each should sign in March" lo
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Issue should be solved, database cleaned and held strong working / meeting. Boom!
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : It should be halted now.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : usually spambots are trying to get traffic to shady websites filled with spyware; the two links being spammed were to the Packers website
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : you know when you put it that way combined with the links it was spamming (to the official Packers website)
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yep. You can do that with holding down ENTER on a command in Console of browser
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : even with the rapid fire posts?
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : I'm not certain it's a bot.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : I've got to go to work soon which is a pity because I'm enthralled by this battle between the bot and Zero
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yeah, I see what that did. Kind of funny.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : now it's a link to Wes Hodkiezwicz mailbag
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : Now they're back with another topic
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : oh lol
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : I have a script that purges them now.
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : 118 Topics with Message.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : what's 118 (besides a number)?
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : They got 118 slapped in there.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : that's why it confused the hell out of me
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yeah, but this is taking a headline and slapping it into the Packers Talk
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : Wasnt there a time guests could post in the help forum?
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : lol good question, kind of impressed!
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : So how is a guest posting?
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : Tell them its an emergency
