The whole defensive backfield looked worse/bad last year from Woody and Tramon down...better pass rush = better D backfield, as has been mentioned many times. That should be corrected/improved this year. Tackling is another story, coaches need to improve that and if players won't follow through they need to be replaced.

It'll be interesting to see how Shields does this year. Remember, there were no OTAs last year and he only played DB one year in college. So, not making a big jump last year is somewhat understandable. It will be interesting to see if he can bounce back and have an impact this year. I still think he has a huge upside.

I think they're just trying to push Shields and send a message with this move and trying to get Shields, House and Hayward to compete.

I heard Deion Sanders say the reason he didn't tackle was because it wasn't worth the risk of possible getting hurt.
