I thought about this (again) after seeing Jermichael Finley staggering around. I went, geez, he looks like he just called Mike Tyson a pussy during his heyday.

Boxers goal is to give their opponent a concussion, correct? That's what a knock out is?

Medically, being knocked out is NOT synonymous with a concussion. They often go together, but NOT synonymous. And being KO'd in boxing is, of course, a way lower threshhold than either.

I'm not an expert or anything but I believe you get KO cause parts of your brain smash into your skull and it's not necessarily a concussion. A concussion is when your brains wiring gets damaged which usually happens with that type of impact. You can get KO and get up and be fine and you can get hit in the head without getting KO and be messed up like Finley was.
