put flags on for those plays. I have never seen a pair have "deer in headlights" look when it comes to getting hit. Tramon and Shields look scared to death to get hit. So they either slip to the turf before getting hit or run out of bounds. I guess that is good since they don't fumble, I guess????

I do not see the point of this thread, at all.

It's stupid for any player to willingly take a shot that could seriously hurt them; have you seen the big hits players can take particularly on special teams?

If you are implying that taking hits would somehow equate to better yardage or greater chance of TDs.... frankly the extra risk is not worth is.

Williams is our best CB. Shields is a decent Nickel with a promising future. I really see no point in them risking getting a couple of extra yards by getting some tough contact. And, as you said, ball safety is more important that 1-2 yards we could get otherwise.

We had a returner named Will Blackmon would let us down year after year. It will be addressed, I just hope neither CB gets injured before the end of the year returning kicks.

Ha! WHile I will agree that they do dip out quickly when they have some possible cutback lanes, I am totally fine with it.

Obviously Tramon is a budding star at corner and Shields, due to injuries, also sees the field quite a bit so really, most people understand why they do that. THUS making this thread pointless

I grumped when Tramon got put on PRs, because I thought it was an injury to a key defensive cog waiting to happen. I still feel that way.

And the fact that he seems to have a chronic case of the jukes and trying to speed around to the side -- which he didn't use to have -- i'd really wish they'd use someone else.

I frankly would rather have someone like antonio chatman at PR. Almost never fumbles, and just runs north and south. Gets under 10 yards almost every time, but I'll take that.
