It's what I have thought from the start. Albeit, ignorantly from the start, lol. I read an article about how Zimmerman unselfishly helped some local black kids in the area, so I kinda ruled out race as the sole motivator. I struggle absolving Zimmerman of all responsibility, primarily because the 911 operator (not the police like some fools will wrongly claim) advised Zimmerman "we dont need you to do that" in response to Zimmerman saying he was going to follow him, or he was following him. I feel he was wrong to get out of his vehicle, period. And at that point of the instruction by the 911 operator, I believe he was heading back to his vehicle when Martin approached him.

Quite honestly, I don't fault Martin for being upset that someone was following him. If he had known Zimmerman had a gun, I bet he's not so quick to start something. On the same note, if Zimmerman doesn't have that gun, I bet he doesn't take a step out of his vehicle.

No, I am not saying we should ban all guns or anything like that. But it doesn't change my train of thought that had a gun not been carried, this case would be Zimmerman suing Martin for getting whooped and none of us would have heard about it.

Wearing a hoodie on a dark rainy night, it couldn't even have been all that obvious the intruder was black. Cooper asked the lady if she thought Zimmerman "profiled" him. She replied yes, but not really racially. Zimmerman pretty obviously profiled him as a troublemaker teenager - based on the fact that Martin was in a place he didn't belong, kinda moping around looking in houses, etc. - which would be suspicious enough anytime, more so in the rain, but mainly he profiled him based on the history in the area of a lot of vandalism and trouble by teenagers of various races. It would, therefore, be more correct to call Zimmerman an "agist" - is there even such a word? At any rate, she said it was never seriously considered in the jury room that Zimmerman was racially motivated, and it was also generally believed that the defense's version of the story was likely to be true - and most significantly, that nobody knew for sure, nothing was proven - which translates to a not guilty verdict in a criminal case. That's about as impartial as you can get, and a very good job of just stating the obvious.

Back to analyzing you, Z2C hahahahaha, I used to think you avoided controversy because as head honcho of the forum, it wouldn't be prudent to be too much one way or the other. The more I read, though, the few times you do let yourself say something significant, it seems you really are basically Good and Normal - part of that group I claim to speak for, same as Rush, Reagan, etc. - the (formerly known as) Silent Majority. There's nothing wrong with being "normal", and there's certainly nothing wrong with stating normal positions. As for the concept that nobody cares to read the normal stuff, I doubt it. It's just that most of that majority of readers STILL are silent.

I wasn't there. I can't say what happened. Sorry that is not understandable by you.

I'm not sure what he could be getting off with? The more I've learned (witnesses info has come out since this thread started) about this, the more I think the only real wrong thing he did was get out of his vehicle.

The media made this into something at the encouragement of the kids parents. I am not saying they wanted this to be a race thing, that was the media. But the parents wanted this to get attention because they feel their son was murdered, rather than killed in an act of self defense. The media continues to throw up pics of the kid as a pre-teen, when he was in fact 17 and well over six feet tall.

Media wants us to think it was a racially motivated murder by a white man against a innocent black child. Not to mention the doctored 911 call to fuel the racial fire on this. That's why this is so publicly accessible when for example there are nearly two dozen murders in Chicago THIS MONTH alone that don't merit even a footnote.

We all know these types. He's a good man, very most likely, but a bit of a zealot. Let's finally have an honest discussion about that aspect, without all the hyperbole.

We could also include the character of Trayvon Martin. My step-son never got popped for anything beyond a marijuana charge, and he was using and dealing heroin, stealing, etc. He had wealth, too. His skin color was white, but he wore a hoodie and hung with his fellow thugs, mostly black, but some white. All of the police knew it, cat-and-mouse, but you just never know. I took him to his supplier several times when he needed it. Me. Dfosterf. The Nazi. Trayvon was PROBABLY not that level, but I DON'T KNOW THAT, and it would take extreme courage to try and report that... these kids have upped the ante in the drug usage department, and you might think they are all just smokin' a little weed, etc. You would be wrong. My son's tombstone attests to that.

They are second cousins to damn cops and first cousins to God damned city code enforcers and similar shit-eaters.

And regarding the second half of your post, hell yeah, like I've been saying, there's a STRONG chance Trayvon was one of those chronic troublemakers who repeatedly got away. The drugs and crime stuff is only a small extension of what very well might have been his situation, and which VALIDLY could be his profile - based on not much more than the damn hoodie. Of course, even if ALL that was true, along with a large dose of homosexuality. background with Communists, radical Islam upbringing too, ol' Trayvon could have grown up to be president of the United States - ain't this a great country?

I don't have time to read all the pages here. Did anyone mention Martin has a history of getting into fights? It was in his cell messages they showed on TV.
I think he felt "dissed" by Zimmerman, and was going to show him who's boss. He didn't know Zimmerman was armed.
Race has NOTHING to do with it.
Did you all notice how Zimmerman is shown to be a "white" man? (Even though he's half Latino?)
If this is true, i guess Obama is a white black man, hey?

And again, "reverend" Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson come out of the woodwork to ramp up race wars. Question: Where are these guys (and Obama) when it's black men killing other black men EVERY DAY across this nation??? Where's the uproar on that? Or the "demonstrations" that SHOULD be going on with black on black crime? I guess those people that are killed don't matter....it only matters if you can blame another race on it.

Those are the REAL racists.
