Green Bay --- First, Clay Matthews cashed in. Soon after, so did Aaron Rodgers. Both are the highest-paid players at their position.

The Packers just gave quarterback Aaron Rodgers a big contract extension, but he's not the only player on the team who came into the offseason with their eyes on a deal to keep them in Green Bay for years to come. Defensive tackle B.J. Raji's heading into the final year of his contract and he

Raji is another underrated player by Packer fans. One of the more talented NT in the league. Hopefully we get him signed long term.

I know part of it is scheme as they have asked him to play more two gap in the 3-4 with means more run stuffing like a NT is suppose to do and less rushing up the field. But I think it's other stuff as well.

Sometimes I wonder if it might be better to have Pickett as the NT, the run clogging / stopping is PERFECT for him (when not pass rushing). Nether Raji nor Pickett are a good nor great fit at 3-4 DE. And Raji can still do his pass rush thing in the nickel and dime packages.

If by "one of the more talented", you mean in the upper 50th percentile, then yeah. Underrated by Packer fans? Try rated fairly low for reasons of his performance. He does have potential, and I'm open to the idea that he will play better if he gets some rest/rotation - but I'm not near as confident of that as some people. Bottom line is, I'd like to see him signed long term too, but for way way less than a max contract - and I'm not sure he really wants to stay in Green Bay THAT much.

Seems like Raji's either getting worn down from over use or he's being played out of position. Dude doesn't complain though. I love BJ.

Lots of potential.
Runs hot and cold.
In his defense he is forced to play too many snaps.
Our boom or bust offense puts him back on the field too soon too often.
Hard to tell how good he can be until we learn how to control the ball and keep the defense off the field with sustained drives.
As is, he's not worth the big money in Green Bay but that doesn't mean he can't be.
