The ongoing debate about how a gay NFL player would be treated in the locker room has largely focused on the idea that times are changing, and that acceptance of a gay player would be a modern development. But it’s often overlooked that the ultimate example of the old-school football coach was also perfectly fine with having gay players on his team.

Multiple players who played for Vince Lombardi, the legendary former Packers and Redskins coach, say that he knew some of his players were gay, and that not only did he not have a problem with it, but he went out of his way to make sure no one else on his team would make it a problem.

None of them ever made a big deal about it/"came out of the closet" though. I bet I know one member of Lombardi's teams who swung that way - but I better not say who, lest I be accused of the aggregious sin of judging hahahaha.

We are a nation that celebrates marriage, we even wear wedding bands our entire lives. We clearly flaunt our orientation no? Even us that violate a ten commandment. A major sin.. should we not celebrate our partnerships? Our love for our spouse?

If we allowed the gay couples that same opportunities.. I truly believe that we really wouldn't see anyone making a big deal of their sexuality. Clear and simple. But because they are not afforded the same rights, yes, it makes news when those famous come out.

But I really don't care either way of their orientation sexually so to me it really is not a big deal whether they "come out" or not. People draw attention to themselves in various ways.. avenues.. if they need the attention who gives a crap if they seek it. Just tune it out.. works for me.

Most certainly Vince was ahead of his time.. he didn't give a crap either. He accepted them and treated them with the respect another human deserves.

Hell yeah, there is a major difference between some homosexual who keeps to himself and doesn't make a big deal about it as opposed to one who flaunts it and tries to portray it as OK - just as normal as normal sex. Do you disagree?

What do you think Vince would have said/done if his Marvelous tight end identified himself publicly as a wide receiver hahaha? Yeah yeah yeah, I plead guilty to judging who this might pertain to hahaha.

beast (2h) : Not sure anyone is interested in Isaiah Simmons... Collin Oliver might of taken his potential slot
beast (2h) : I'm going with Jax Ulbrich is not telling the whole truth... he accidentally came across it? Why would a defensive coordinator have a QB #?
Zero2Cool (3h) : He's not that great, but final piece of the script.\
Zero2Cool (3h) : If we add Isaiah Simmons, book your Super Bowl tickets
Mucky Tundra (3h) : Colts 1st round TE Tyler Warren also got prank called, was that Jax Ulbrich as well?
Zero2Cool (3h) : Jax Ulbrich, Jeff Ulbrich’s son, released an apology for his role in the Shedeur Sanders prank call.
Martha Careful (4h) : apparently he did not participate in practice or play on the east west shrine game nor the NFL combine. The kid was a mediocre spoiled brat
Mucky Tundra (4h) : Yeah that one that was a super wounded duck that Sanders supporters are highlighting to prove a point
Zero2Cool (4h) : Shough is the guy who missed guys at combine isn't he?
beast (5h) : It's not official until I'm dead! I have a chance still! (Not really)

Mucky Tundra (26-Apr) : saw the tweet, he meant the city
Mucky Tundra (26-Apr) : Was that for the team or the city?

Martha Careful (26-Apr) : Bum Phillips used to say there are two ways to get better. Get better players or get players to play better. We have a new DL coach
Zero2Cool (26-Apr) : Yes. Look at the losses last year. They can win.
beast (26-Apr) : Can Packers win with their current DL?
bboystyle (26-Apr) : waiting for a pass rusher.

dfosterf (25-Apr) : 7 minutes between picks in the 2nd round
Martha Careful (25-Apr) : Sorry to bitch, but the headline writers in that section absolutely mislead, or don't know how to read. It is maddening
Martha Careful (25-Apr) : No thanks. Not a dependable guy to be in the right place and run the right route. Dumb as a box of rocks.
Zero2Cool (25-Apr) : Losing 2nd round pick for a one year rental, not ideal. Especially a headcase.
TheKanataThrilla (25-Apr) : Pickens for Jaire may be interesting. Definitely not sure we want Pickens long term.
dfosterf (25-Apr) : No.Absolutely not
Zero2Cool (25-Apr) : NO NO NO NO NO NO!!1 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
dhazer (25-Apr) : scenario: Our main prospects are off the board when our pick comes around, do we just throw a 2nd round pick at Pittsburgh for Pickens
